South Penquite Farm

The Atlantic Fryer.

Steve Jarque
The Artisan Crepier

"...crepes & paella just yards from your tent..."

As anyone who has spent time across the channel will tell you - the French take their pancakes very seriously. The large savoury "Galettes" can be filled with a selection of ham, eggs or cheese and are a tasty and filling alternative to the English fry-up. However, be sure to leave some room to end with a sweet crepe which (as well as the simple but delicious plain with sugar) can come with a wide variety of toppings such as cream, jam or even Nutella!

Paella is the Spanish national dish which combines the influences from both the Romans and the Moors. Cooked slowly for hours in a special pan the ingredients are all allowed to infuse their flavours into an unforgettable tasting experience.

Steve is half French and half Spanish and first came to the farm as a volunteer in 2014 - wowing us all with this cooking at the end of each day. He now works as a chef in the Ship Inn in Wadebridge but is always happy to come back to farm to share his traditional dishes with us.

Steve will be in the big barn most Monday evenings throughout the summer weeks
